Barbados is seeing an increase in adventurous, disabled travelers with wheelchairs and special needs seeking a Caribbean vacation. In fact, some persons are referred to Barbados as part of their rehabilitation therapy as the warm climate and clear waters are truly welcoming...
There is a limited supply of equipment for those with Special Needs. This includes beach wheelchairs and patient lifts for the hotel room. The Aquatic Centre in association with the Paralympics Association has a pool lift on location.
